Golden Eagle
Golden Eagle® is one of the most popular drinks on the Dutch Bros menu — a creamy caramel-vanilla breve made with espresso, vanilla syrup, caramel sauce, and half-and-half. It comes in four ways: the classic espresso version (hot or iced), a blended Freeze, a chai breve, and a protein latte. Here’s how all four compare, with nutrition facts, allergen notes, and pricing for each.
IcedHot
Golden Eagle
The original: espresso, vanilla syrup, caramel sauce, and half-and-half, finished with a caramel drizzle. Regarded as one of the most popular drinks on the Dutch Bros menu.
IcedHot
Golden Eagle Chai Breve
The same vanilla-caramel flavor built on a chai base instead of espresso — spiced chai with half-and-half, vanilla, and caramel syrups.
IcedHot
Golden Eagle Protein
Espresso, vanilla syrup, caramel sauce, and protein milk in place of half-and-half. A medium iced version runs about 330 calories, 23g of protein, and 95mg of caffeine.
Blended
Golden Eagle Freeze
The blended version: espresso, vanilla syrup, caramel sauce, and milk blended with ice for a thick, milkshake-like texture, topped with whipped cream and a caramel drizzle. A small Freeze runs about 580 calories — richer than the iced or hot versions since it includes whipped cream by default.
Nutrition at a Glance
A medium iced classic Golden Eagle has 460 calories and about 95mg of caffeine (small and medium both run 95mg, since they use the same number of espresso shots; large jumps to 190mg with an extra shot). The Protein version comes in lighter at around 330 calories with the same 95mg caffeine, plus roughly 23g of protein. The Chai Breve swaps espresso for chai tea, so its caffeine is generally lower than the classic. Check the Nutritional Guide for full calorie, sugar, and caffeine breakdowns across all sizes.
Golden Eagle contains dairy (half-and-half or milk) by default. Ask for oat, almond, coconut, or soy milk if you need a dairy-free version, and request sugar-free vanilla and caramel syrups for the Zero Sugar Added version. The syrups themselves are naturally gluten-free, but always mention any allergy to your Broista so they can double-check for cross-contact.
Golden Eagle also shows up alongside other fan-favorite drinks on the Dutch Faves page, and in fan-built combinations on the Secret Menu guide.
